Enchanted Rock is located 20 miles outside of Fredricksburg, Texas. The park consists of 6 major rock formations with numerous erratic boulders scattered about. The major formations are as follows: Main Dome, Little Dome, Buzzard's Roost, Turkey Peak, and Freshman Mountain. All but one of the formations are composed of a rough leucogranite; Turkey Peak consists of aplite, a smooth rock.
